John McManus appointed General Manager Health and Ability Services

John brings with him a wealth of experience from his most recent role as General Manager of Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch, where he led a team of over 300 people and oversaw the delivery of surgical services to over 9,000 patients annually.

St John of God Hauora Trust Chief Executive Officer Sarah Hillier said "I am thrilled to announce the appointment of John McManus as General Manager of our Health and Ability Services. John's skills and experience make him an excellent addition to our team – and will lead our service into the next era of our unique model of care."

We are also welcoming Heather Brunton as Clinical Services Manager (Southern). Heather joins us from her most recent role as Specialist Services Manager at Explore, Healthcare NZ. Heather brings experience in community health and disability services, and her expertise and knowledge will be invaluable in helping us to enhance the quality of our services and care for our residents.

Both John and Heather will be joining us in the coming weeks, with John commencing in April and Heather in May.
