Appointment of Sarah Williams as Chief Executive Officer of St John of God Hauora Trust
Incoming Chief Executive Officer Sarah Williams said she felt privileged to have the opportunity to lead St John of God Hauora Trust into a new and exciting phase in its development.
"I have long felt a strong connection to our shared Mission and Values, and I look forward to working alongside our caregivers to improve the lives of our clients and residents and the communities in which they live,“ Sarah said.
St John of God Hauora Trust Board Chair Peter Jensen said the external recruitment process was rigorous and the Board were impressed with the calibre and depth of experience brought by applicants for the position.
"At the conclusion of the process, Sarah stood out to us as the person with the capabilities and the character to lead the organisation and ensure we are well placed to face the challenges that will no doubt be ahead as demand for the services we provide grows," Peter said.
"Sarah’s leadership capabilities were very evident in her time as Regional Manager of Community, Youth and Child Services. Sarah has supported the development of CYCS through a range of significant sector developments through to its current positive operating position.
"Sarah has also done an excellent job during her time as Acting Chief Executive Officer, leading projects such as the St John of God Karori Review and potential capacity expansion plans for St John of God Halswell."
Sarah moved from Acting Chief Executive into the full-time role on 7 June 2021.
