St John of God Halswell

St John of God Halswell is a 60-room specialist service providing residential and respite support to people aged 16 to 65 living with physical or neurological impairments.

Rehabilitation and therapy

Our specialist rehabilitation and therapy team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants as well as a speech language therapist, counsellor and advocacy coordinator, community facilitator and an activities coordinator.

We provide neurological therapy and rehabilitation to the residents of St John God Halswell and nearby community homes.

We also manage an outpatient and in-home neurological rehabilitation program at The Granada Centre.

Studio apartments

Our three self-contained studio apartments are available on a short to medium term basis for people needing accessible accommodation.

They are also used as transitional living spaces for people as part of a community rehabilitation plan.

Support by nursing staff, healthcare assistants and the allied health team may be included as part of your agreement with us.

High dependency

St John of God Halswell can provide high dependency support for residents living with complex or degenerative conditions, led by a registered nurse with the support of a multidisciplinary clinical team. High dependency support is available on both a long term and respite basis.

Visitors

Visitors are always welcome. Visiting hours are between 10.30am to 8.30pm, however we can organise visits outside of these hours if necessary.

St John of God Halswell is situated minutes from the city centre, with plenty of free parking available for visitors. To get her via public transport you can plan your trip online or the best bus routes are:

  • Orange Bus: stopping in Halswell Road near Aidanfield Drive, then a 5 to 10 minute walk to 26 Nash Road
  • 60 Bus: stopping in Aidanfield Drive, then a 3 to 5 minute walk to 26 Nash Road.
